Single Tooth Replacement

Immediate single tooth replacement can now be done with the help of mini implants. The entire procedure with mini implants involves two appointments. The first appointment consists of taking an impression and an x-ray and the second appointment (usually about three weeks later) is when the implant and final restoration is placed. A small amount of local anesthetic is placed using “The Wand” for comfort, a tiny pilot hole is made through the tissue, and the implant is “screwed” into place all in about 10 or 15 minutes with no pain whatsoever. After the mini implant or implants are placed the crown, which has been fabricated in a laboratory to fit exactly where the implants have been placed, is cemented on with very strong resin cement. The entire procedure takes less than an hour and is very comfortable.
